ZAZ Adds Automatic Transmission, New Engine Option to Lanos

ZAZ has started serial production of the Lanos equipped with GM’s 1.4 liter, Euro 4-compilant F14D4 Ecotec engine and Aisin automatic transmission. The 101hp unit is installed both in sedan and hatchback versions. The company produced 365 units of the Lanos with 1.4 litre engines and automatic transmission in November, and is expecting to produce about 1,500 of such vehicles by the end of 2011. Additionally, ZAZ plans to offer the Lanos equipped with a factory installed LPG kit from next May.
