VW Slovakia Extends Recruitment Period for New Workers

The new jobs are connected to the production of Volkswagen's New Small Family models (VW up!, Skoda Citigo and SEAT Mii). The recruitment for body shop, paint shop and assembly shop workers started in August this year, and calls for the hiring of 1.800 people.
The company expects to reach full annual capacity of 400,000 units next year. The output of the Bratislava plant almost doubled in the first six months of this year, driven by the increaseing demand for the Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne and Volkswagen Touareg SUVs.
Volkswagen Slovakia employs over 7.000 employees at its sites in Bratislava, Martin and Kosice.
