Toyota Turkey to Resume Full Operation Earlier than Expected

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkey (TMMT) will resume full operation at its plant in Arifiye/Sakarya as of June 1st. The company halted production for 8 days in April and limited output in May because of supply issues resulting from last month’s earthquake in Japan.
Component supplies will be monitored carefully until the problems can be solved permanently.

TMMT, one of the Turkey’s leading exporters, currently builds the Toyota Verso and Auris models. It has a 3,000 strong workforce. The company plans to produce some 95 thousand vehicles in 2011.
