Tofas to Export Rebadged Doblo to North America from 2013

Fiat Group Automobiles and its Turkish joint venture, Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi (Tofas), have signed an agreement to supply Chrysler’s Ram brand with 190,000 units of the New Doblo van betwen 2013 and 2020. Investing nearly US$160 million (€115 million) to enlarge its production facilities in the northern province of Bursa, Fiat will manufacture 26,000 Doblo vehicles to be exported to U.S. market annually, and reach a total of US$3 billion (€2.16 billion) in revenue by 2020. According to company executives, Tofas will increase its total exports to $11 billion (€7.9 billion) by the end of 2020.
