Tenneco Expands Presence in the Czech Republic

Monroe Chechia s.r.o., a member of US-based Tenneco Inc., is building a new manufacturing facility in Hodkovice nad Mohelkou, where it is operating a shock absorber and emission control plant. The new 10 thousand square meter production hall, whose completion is planned in mid-2012, will produce exhaust pipes and catalytic converters for Škoda, PSA Peugeot Citroën and Renault vehicles. It will provide jobs for 300 workers, half of whom will be new employees.

Tenneco acquired the Hodkovice ride control plant from Ateso in 1995.
