MLADA BOLESLAV, Czech Republic - Until mid-2012, Škoda will expand capacity of its parent plant at Mladá Boleslav and produce a third model beside the Octavia and Fabia. At the same time, the production capacity of the Octavia is to be increased from 800 to 1,200 vehicles per day, while maximum output of the Fabia will remain unchanged at the level of 1,200 units daily.
“Until the year 2018, we want to increase our sales to at least 1.5 million units per year. The significant expansion of the capacities in our parent plant at Mladá Boleslav is an important measure for the implementation of this growth strategy. It is one of many investments in products, technologies, markets, and, last but not least, in our employees,” emphasized Prof. Dr. h.c. Winfried Vahland, the chairman of the board of Škoda Auto.
