Skoda Auto to Create Several Hundred New Jobs

MLADA BOLESLAV, Czech Republic - Skoda Auto is planning a growth surge for the coming years. Until 2018, the company plans to at least double its sales. As part of this effort, the Czech manufacturer will create several hundred new jobs this year alone. They are looking for experts from all areas of the automobile industry.

“In the next years, Skoda will step on the accelerator and continue to grow. We need to implement numerous new projects within the framework of our growth strategy. In order to accomplish that, we need strong support from human resources in all areas. The new employees will have a unique opportunity to participate actively in the success of the company”, emphasizes Bohdan Wojnar, the Skoda board member for human resources. “Prerequisites are a university degree, good language skills, and, ideally, experience in the automobile industry. For that, we offer all the advantages of a successful international employer with the highest technological competence, extensive social benefits, and attractive working conditions.”

The new positions will be created primarily in the connection with foreign projects and the development of new vehicles. Experts for all the areas of the company will be sought: from development to the production to sales and marketing. The job profiles include, among others, engineers, experts for electric drives, developers of undercarriages and engines, series and project planners, product managers, sales and marketing experts, as well as procurement and IT specialists.

In the past couple of years, Skoda has regularly hired new employees. Every year, graduates of the company’s own education center or cooperating vocational schools are hired primarily in production. Furthermore, the company has hired many automobile experts since the commissioning of the new technology center in Mladá Boleslav two years ago.
