With an investment of PLN240 million (app. €55 million), Switzerland-based alloy wheels manufacturer Ronal AG plans to erect a second manufacturing plant in the Walbrzych Special Economic Zone in Poland, local newswire Gazeta Wyborcza reports. The company received building permit for the plant on Tuesday. Construction of the new facility on a 4 hectares plot will start in mid-November and it will be finished in April 2013. Annual capacity of what will be Ronal’s most automated plant will be 2 million alloy wheels. The project will create 480 new jobs.
Ronal already operates two production plants in Lower Silesia: in Walbrzych and Jelcz Laskowice.
