For the first time in its history, in Q1 2011 Renault took the lead among foreign brands in Russia, one of the most dynamic markets in the world.
Renault sales surged 93%, outperforming the market's 77% growth, with 31,000 vehicles sold. Logan (17,954 units; + 43% vs. 2010) became the most popular imported car. The other vehicles in the range - from Sandero to Fluence, and Mégane - enjoyed the same momentum.
With its partner AvtoVAZ, the uncontested leader in Russia, the Renault-Nissan Allliance has cornered over one-third of the market.
