Renault Gives Slovenian-Made Twingo a Fresh Look, Successor Will Follow Only in 2014

The front end incarnates more specifically the stylistic renewal. On the bonnet, the Renault logo has been enlarged and notably verticalised. Following the first generation of Twingo, New Twingo ties up again with the traditional front end particulary expressive. The updated Renault Twingo will be presented at the press conference on September 13th at the IAA in Frankfurt.

The Twingo is built at Revoz d.d., Renault’s Slovenian production unit, which also produces the Clio Campus and Wind small cars. The Novo mesto-based car maker currently employs over 2,300 workers.

Introduction of the third generation Twingo has recently been delayed by a year, as it will be introduced only in 2014. The new model will be built at Revoz alongside the next SmartForTwo, on a jointly developed platform with Daimler. The two companies are reportedly discussing the possibility of building a four-seat Smart in Slovenia.

Updated Twingo is the first vehicle to be inspired by the new design identity of Renault
