Polish Carmakers Adjust Their Production to Reflect Lower Demand

General Motors Manufacturing Poland (GMMP) will suspend car production at its plant in Gliwice for three consecutive Fridays in September due to a decline in orders, local daily ’Rzeczpospolita’ reported. The facility will not manufacture cars on September 2nd, 9th and 16th.

The 2011 unit forecast of Fiat Auto Poland (FAP) has been more significantly reduced, The company is now estimating that a total of 500 thousand cars will be manufactured at its Tychy plant instead of the 550,000 initially set for this year.
