Poland: Exports in the Automotive Sector on the Increase

April 2011 saw Poland’s automotive exports amount to €1.64 billion, which represents a year-on-year growth of 15.11%. According to AutomotiveSuppliers, in the first month of the second quarter the industry’s total exports to the EU countries accounted for 84%. April also saw a sharp increase of exports to markets outside the EU (+78.83%).

The value of passenger car and LCV exports accounted for €645.16 million (+ 5.99% y-o-y), while those of parts and modules for €521.95 (+9.74% y-o-y).
Total value of Poland’s automotive exports reached €6.77 billion between January and April 2011 (+18.29% y-o-y). The export forecast for 2011 is €18.5-19 billion.
