Peugeot to Launch Russian Production of the 308 Sedan Next Summer

The car, specificially developed for emerging countries, debuted last month at the Chengdu Auto Show in China. In the Chinese market it will be offered with either a 1.6 (106 hp) or 2.0 liter (147 hp) four-cylinder gasoline engine. Russian versions however, may use the same 120hp and 150hp 1.6 liter petrol engines as their locally-built hatchback derivatives.
The company also plans to start Russian production of a budget counterpart under the Citroën brand, possibly based on the C4.
