One Millionth Caddy Rolls Off Line at VW’s Poznan Plant

The car was officially presented on Sunday during the special event held in the factory. The third generation Caddy has been in production at the Poznan plant since autumn 2003. It is being produced in Poland alongside the Volkswagen Transporter T5.

The Volkswagen Plant in Poznan developed in 1993 from a joint venture between Volkswagen AG and the Polish car manufacturer Tarpan. It has been a 100% subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group since 1996. The Poznan Plant manufactures both components for the and vehicles for VW Commercial Vehicles. With than 95% of the vehicles and 74% of the cast components and modules being exported, VW Poznan is one of the largest exporters in Poland.
