New car market in Russia: September, 2021 figures are released

According to the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee (AEB AMC), sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia decreased by 22,6% in September 2021 compared to the same month of the preceding year. In the ninth month of the current year, 119,485 units were sold; 34,924 units less than in September 2020.

In Q1-3 of 2021, sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia increased by 15,1% compared to the same period in 2020 or by 11,196 sold units, and amounted to 1,260,111 cars, according to the AEB AMC.

Lada: 17,189 units
Kia: 17,037 units
Hyundai: 13,624 units
Toyota: 10,039 units
Volkswagen: 7,752 units
Renault: 7,511 units
Škoda: 6,438 units
GAZ*: 5,199 units
Nissan: 4,092 units
Haval: 3,513 units

*LCV sales are included into total brand's sales.
