New car market in Russia: November, 2021 figures are released

According to the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee (AEB AMC), sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia decreased by 20,4% in November 2021 compared to the same month of the preceding year. A total of 125,466 units were sold last month; 32,114 units less than in November 2020.

Dr. Thomas Staertzel, Chairman of the AEB AMC commented: “In November, 125,466 cars were sold, 20,4% less than a year ago. Still the YoY result Jan-Nov 2021 is positive with 1,439,045 new cars sold, which is 6,9% higher than during the same period of 2020. Usually, December is a good month for car sales, but this year is different and it also seems that this trend will continue during the next year with even worse figures in the coming months.

Lada: 26,373 units
Kia: 14,514 units
Hyundai: 14,395 units
Renault: 11,387 units
Toyota: 7,606 units
GAZ*: 5,428 units
Škoda: 5,000 units
Haval: 4,909 units
Nissan: 4,677 units
Volkswagen: 4,602 units

*LCV sales are included into total brand's sales.
