New Car Market in Romania: January, 2026 Figures Are Released

According to data, published by the General Directorate For Driving Licenses and Car Registration (DRCPIV) there were 8575 new light vehicles registered in Romania in January, 2026.

There were 7724 new passenger cars registered in January.
Leading brands:
Dacia: 1383 units
Toyota: 763 units
Volkswagen: 688 units
Škoda: 682 units
Mercedes: 417 units
Ford: 837 units
Hyundai: 387 units
BMW: 380 units
Ford: 368 units
Byd: 305 units
Renault: 266 units

There were 851 new LCVs registered in January.
Leading brands:
Ford: 259 units
Volkswagen: 139 units
Iveco: 132 units
Renault: 100 units
Fiat: 64 units
Mercedes: 39 units
Peugeot: 34 units
Toyota: 25 units
