Mando Buys Plot for Polish Components Plant

Seoul-based Mando Corporation, one of the largest South-Korean automotive Tier 1 companies, has bought a 13.21 hectares plot in the Walbrzych Special Economic Zone. The supplier announced its plans to set up a new components plant in Poland to increase its supplies to automakers in Europe. The Polish subsidiary was founded in May. Construction of the facility will start later this year.

Mando is a producer of braking, steering and suspension parts and systems. Its main customers include South Korea's largest automaker Hyundai Motor Co., as well as other local OEMs like SsangYong and GMDAT.

The Walbrzych plant will be the South Korean supplier’s first production facility in Central Europe
