ESZTERGOM, Hungary - Magyar Suzuki Zrt., the Hungarian arm of Japan’s Suzuki Motor Corp., is recalling 124,375 Swift cars manufactured at its Esztergom factory between 1997 and 2002 and sold in the local market, due to corrosion of the front shock absorbers.
The faulty parts were supplied by Hungarian company Berva Eger, which is no longer in business. Suzuki will notify the owners in writing. In order to be eligible for the free replacement, the car owners will need to present only an official letter. This is the eighth recall of Magyar Suzuki.
