Norway-based Konsberg Automotive (KA) will axe 138 jobs at its Staffordshire manufacturing location Burton-on-Trent, while 38 will remain. Most of its production of seating system components will be relocated to the company’s facility in Pruszków (Poland). The production transfer is scheduled to be completed by the end of October 2011.
Kongsberg Automotive has 35 production facilities in 20 countries. With revenues of €865 million in 2010 and approximately 11.000 employees, the company provides system solutions to vehicle makers around the world.
