IAC to Start Production at New Interior Components Plant in Romania by Year-End

International Automotive Components (IAC) Group, which is investing €58 million in setting up a new greenfield manufacturing facility in Bals, Romania, in the southwest Oltenia region, may start production of interior components at the site by October-November 2011, the deputy president of IAC Group Europe’s Central and Eastern Europe Operations division, Mauritius Willaert announced, quoted by Mediafax. The factory will be fully operational as of 2012 and it will produce instrument panels, door panels, headliners and various other interior trim components to support Ford Motor Company’s production of two passenger car models at its plant in Craiova.
