IAC Group to Revive Production at Plzen-Prestice Facility

PLZEn, Czech Republic - International Automotive Components Group (IAC), a global supplier of vehicle exterior and interior trim systems, is reportedly planning to relaunch production at its former interior components manufacturing plant in Plzen-Prestice, Czech Republic, nov-ost.info reports. The company aims to expand capacity by installing additional injection presses, as well equipment for foaming and cutting semi-rigid PU blocks in the plant. There, it will produce door trim panels and headliners for OEMs like Skoda and Volkswagen.

Pilot production is set to commence in March, and the plant is expected to reach full capacity by May 2012. The site will then operate on a three shift basis with a staff of 160.

IAC has two other Interior Systems plants in Central Europe, one in Teresin/Poland and another in Lozorno/ Slovakia.
