Hella to Expand Production Capacity at Czech Lighting Systems Plant

Hella Autotechnik s.r.o. currently produces over 4 million automobile lights per year while it expects further growth in production.

“Demands for production and storage capacity are increasing together with the growth of production volume. Most likely we will build a new assembly hall in 2012, where about 100 people should find a job,” Hella regional director for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Oldrich Svoboda told MF Dnes.

Hella Autotechnik s.r.o. was established in 1992 as a fully-owned subsidiary company of German Concern HELLA KGaA Hueck & Co, after the HKG management took a strategic decision to follow the company Volkswagen to the Czech Republic and establish a company for the production of lighting systems for Skoda.

Hella is to build a new hall to increase production and storage capacity of automotive lighting systems at its base in Mohelnice, Czech Republic
