GM, Uzavtoprom to Build Transmission JV Plant in Uzbekistan

General Motors (GM) and Uzbek carmaker Uzavtoprom JSC plan to set up a joint auto transmission production venture in Uzbekistan in 2012. Investments into the project are estimated at $310 million (about €215 million). The joint venture is expected to produce 250,000 transmissions per year.
The new project could be implemented within four years
