PRAGUE, Czech Republic - Gestamp Corporation intends to build a new manufacturing plant in the Czech Republic. The factory, which will produce stamped metal parts for the automotive industry, will be built in the Triangle Industrial Zone in Žatec, about 80km north-west of Prague. Construction of the plant is to start in April and it will be completed in February 2012. About 250 new jobs will be created at the site.
Gestamp operates two plants in Central and Eastern Europe, one in Mor/Hungary, the other in Poznan/Poland. The company also has plants in St. Petersburg/Russia and in Bursa/Turkey.
