Ford Transfers Production of the Ka from Poland to Romania

The news is the third setback Fiat Auto Poland (FAP) had suffered just this year, including moving production of the Fiat Panda to Italy and losing markets for the Fiat 500 in America with the launch of its local production in Toluca, Mexico.
A decline in orders forced FAP to dismiss 400 employees this year. The Ford Ka currently represents about 20% of the total production in Tychy.
Ford plans to move production of the Ka city car from Fiat Auto Poland’s Tychy plant to its own factory in Craiova, Romania by 2013
