Fiat Auto Poland Rolls Out 2 Millionth Panda

Fiat Auto Poland celebrated a milestone with the 2 millionth second generation Panda produced at the Tychy plant yesterday. The jubilee car, a Cross version equipped with a 1.3 Multijet 75 hp engine, is one of the last few thousand units produced at the site, because Fiat will shift production of the soon to be released third generation Fiat Panda to its plant in Pomigliano d’Arco, Italy.

The current generation of the Panda was launched in 2003 and is currently marketed in 76 countries. The Panda range includes Euro 5 compliant petrol and diesel engines, as well as CNG and LPG options, and front or four wheel drive transmissions. In the first five months of 2011 it proved to be the best selling vehicle in its segment in Europe.

Operational since October 1992, the Tychy plant has produced more than 6.2 million vehicles.
