Delay in Supplies Halts Production at Nissan’s St. Petersburg Facility

Nissan Motor Rus will halt production for five days at its factory in St. Petersburg because of a delay in supply of engines produced at the carmaker’s quake-hit plant in Ivaka, Japan.

The plant, which currently assembles the Teana, X-Trail and Murano models, will halt output between May 30 and June 3.

The temporarily halt in St. Petersburg will allow the company to synchronize the production process operations with the delivery schedule, the company said.

Production at Nissan's St. Peterburg plant will be halted between May 30 and June 3.
