Continental and Draexlmaier Are Seeking New Investments in Romania

According to Bloomberg, Continental is planning a €15.7 million expansion of the Contitech Fluid Automotive plant in Carei. The investment will reportedly create 300 new jobs. The German group also announced an investment project worth €71 million to expand its plant in Timisoara, and create 400 new jobs there by 2012. In Sibiu, a new €35 million production unit will be built to provide 300 new positions, while Brasov will host a new €20 million fuel-pump factory.

Dräxlmaier intends to invest €26.8 million to open a new production facility with 1,000 jobs, to produce components for Daimler and Porsche.
