Upon completion the new building will house Bosch’s Engineering Center Budapest, and several other operations, including the commercial and administration departments for the automotive aftermarket and power tools divisions as well as drive and control technologies from Bosch Rexroth.

The complex will be built in two phases. Construction of the first building will be completed in early 2013. The investment will be HUF6 billion (approx. €20 million). The second construction phase will start in 2013 and finish in 2014.

The Engineering Center Budapest is an R&D base for Bosch’s automotive technology business sector, and at present operates in a rented building on Gyömrői út. The center recently took on its 600th engineer. Bosch has acquired a nearly 32.000 m2 plot of land next to the existing building for the new headquarters.
