Boryszew Acquires the Assets of Germany’s WEDO

Polish Industrial Group Boryszew S.A. has signed an agreement with the bankruptcy trustee to purchase the assets of Germany’s WEDO Formenbau und Kunststoffverarbeitung GmbH (WEDO) for an amount of almost €2 million

The following items are included in the purchased assets:

- fixed assets,
- intangible assets (including intellectual property),
- working assets,
- employee agreements,
- contracts.

WEDO is a manufacturer of moulds and machines for producing plastic parts using injection moulding. The company employs 97 people and has its own design team. It provides R&D and mould production services to German plastics auto parts maker Altmärker Kunststoff-Technik (AKT), which, together with its Czech site in Jablonec nad Nisou, has been taken over by Boryszew in August for €6.7 million. It also serves customers in the automotive and other sectors. The acquisition of WEDO will strenghten the position of Boryszew as a full service supplier of plastic components.
