Avtoframos Halts Production for Three Weeks

OAO Avtoframos, the joint venture carmaker of France’s Renault and the government of Moscow will cease production between July 30th and August 22nd due to maintenance works and annual leave of workers.

Avtoframos produces Logan, Sandero, Megane and Fluence cars on two production lines at its Moscow plant with an annual capacity of 160 thousand units. The company plans to expand its line-up by launching assembly of the Duster SUV in the beginning of 2012.

In 1H2011, the company built 67.732 cars, which is a 68% increase compared to the same period in 2010.
